The Marin Gestalt 1 Owner Review by Soujaatyaa Roy. He shares his experience of this cycle after clocking 600 km.
No. Of years Cycling: 3 years
Model name: Marin Gestalt 1Bought on: 10th March 2021Place of Purchase: Stay Tuned, KolkataApprox no. of km clocked so far: 600 kmBuying Experience: It’s always a pleasure to buy any cycling related products from Stay Tuned. Ritabrata Patra, the owner of Stay Tuned is always ready to help. He answered my queries whenever I had any doubts about the bike.Other models considered at the time of Purchase: Bergamont Grandurance, Scott Speedster Gravel, Marin Four CornersReason for choosing this model: I am an MTB rider. Most of the time I am riding my MTB. But I wanted a gravel bike for endurance riding and some trail rides. I went for the Marin Gestalt 1 due to the following reasons:1. I was not looking for a very high end Gravel Bike and Marin Gestalt was perfect in terms of price and specifications.2. The handling pleased me the first time I rode the bike.3. The colour of the bike was just awesome in one word. When I saw the bike, I knew this is what I was buying.Positives of the bike:1. With an MTB short stem and wide bar combination it was just perfect for trails as well as endurance rides.2. The frame design is specifically done with touring in mind and doing long endurance rides were a treat.3. The Sora drivetrain along with Tektro brakes was perfect. The brakes respond quickly.4. It has good quality component such as the saddle, brakes etc.5.The WTB Explorer 32 mm tyres were perfect on the trails. Although it had 32 mm tyres there was no compromise on speed.Negatives of the bike:I did not have any complaints with the bike till now. Although the Tektro brakes was perfect, I would love if the bike had hydraulic disc brakes and I would love if the crank given was Shimano Sora FC-R3000 crank. Will I recommend this bike and why:1. Those looking for a touring bike will love this bike. It was great within the budget.2.The bike demands low maintenance and basic cleaning once in a while.Marin Gestalt 1 Owner Review: Technical Specifications
