Week 35 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 31st January 2021.
Club Stats. 744 members collectively rode 60060 km in 1604 rides, climbing 304720 metres in 2867 hours!
The number of members are up by 18 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride slightly less with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up.
To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 197 km during the week!
There were 2 riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week and 3 who rode more than 100 a day!
2 did 300+ km ride. 12 people did at least 200 km rides. 65 riders rode at least a century!
8 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 2 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…
Leaderboard: Overall
The top 2 remained unchanged from last week.
Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode a mind boggling 2527 km. He was first last week as well.
In second place is Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar who rode 1132 km in the week. Impressive numbers! He was second last week as well.
Third spot is taken by Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra. He rode 720 km.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard was back to being competitive.
Tara Jayaraman from Karnataka was top of the charts this week. Riding an impressive 263 km. She is 58th overall. She was third last week.
Next up is Ishika Gupta from Delhi. Who rode an impressive 252 km. She is 63rd overall.
Third is Roopali Beri from Punjab who rode 206 km. She is 72nd overall.
There are 3 women in the top 100 this week, same as last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
The top 10 all did 200+ km rides!
Top spot goes to Jagadesh Badiga from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 414 km long ride!
Next up is Sachin Nemade from Maharashtra having done a 300 km long ride.
Third is Samuel Corda from Maharashtra, who did a 278 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 8 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 39.7 kmph over the week!
Second fastest for the week is Vishaish Pratap Singh from Delhi whose weekly average is an incredible 34.1 kmph. He was third last week.
Third is Satvik Gupta from Haryana averaging 33.6 kmph over the week. He was fastest last week.

Tamil Nadu is back at the top of this leaderboard.
Climber of the week is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu having climbed 5768 metres. He is back at the top after a long time and was third last week.
Second is Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra who climbed 4314 metres as he rode from Dehradun to Manali.
Third is Rais Satvilkar from Maharashtra, who climbed 3912 metres during the week.
