    Week 102 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 15th May 2022.

    Club Stats. 2056 members collectively rode 96403 km in 2924 rides, climbing 490016 metres in 4420 hours!

    The number of members are up by 15 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 232 km during the week!

    There were 5 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    6 rode a 300. 16 rode at least a 200.

    49 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 5 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    5 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Jein Varghese from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 914 km. He was second last week.

    In second place is Kathirirajan Varadharajan from Tamil Nadu who rode 910 km in the week.  He was third last week.

    Third spot is taken by Rupesh Bali  from Chandigarh. He rode 805 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 176+ km…

    Naazia Farhein from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 471 km. She is 14th overall. She was first last week as well.

    Next up is Malika Kalra from Punjab. Who rode an impressive 380 km. She is 29th overall. She is a new entrant to the club.

    Third is Rajikrishna R Nair from Maharashtra who rode 372 km. She is 30th overall. She was third last week as well.

    There are 10 women in the top 100 this week, 10 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A mixed bag of double centurions from different corners of the country this week.

    Top spot goes to Abhishek Fale from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 514 km long ride!

    Next up is Jaya Prakash N from Karnataka having done a 308 km long ride.

    Third is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu, who did a 306 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 49 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Zeeshan M from Karnataka who averaged an incredible 41.3 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Sanjeev Ramki from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 41.2 kmph.

    Third is Saikrishna from Tamil Nadu averaging 36.9 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Maharashtra! Vivek had staked his claim on this leaderboard before the week started and stayed true to his word.

    Climber of the week is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra having climbed 11418 metres.

    Second is Biswadip Nag from West Bengal who climbed 10025 metres. He was third last week.

    Third is Shubham Kothari from Rajasthan, who climbed 5422 metres during the week.
