    Week 118 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 4th September 2022.

    Club Stats. 2387 members collectively rode 114265 km in 2928 rides, climbing 561861 metres in 5281 hours!

    The number of members are up by 15 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more or less the same. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all constant.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 274 km during the week!

    There were 8 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    12 rode 600s, 7 rode 400s, 7 rode 300s, 34 rode at least a 200.

    49 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 9 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    8 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 940 km. He was second last week.

    In second place is Prathap Pandian from Tamil Nadu who rode 881 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Jein Varghese from Kerala. He rode 763km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 238+ km…

    Vandana Dhavate from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 617 km. She is 19th overall.

    Next up is Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala. Who rode an impressive 601 km. She is 24th overall.

    Third is Hema Dhakad from Madhya Pradesh who rode 419 km. She is 47th overall.

    There are 17 women in the top 100 this week, same as last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Top spot goes to Reneav from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 623 km long ride!

    Next up is Ganesh R from Karnataka having done a 614 km long ride.

    Third is Suresh V from Tamil Nadu, who did a 607 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 49 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 38.9 kmph over the week! He was third last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra whose weekly average is a fantastic 38.9 kmph. He was first last week.

    Third is Hemings from Karnataka averaging 37.5 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Himalayas!

    Climber of the week is Anil Gurung from Uttarakhand having climbed 10348 metres.

    Second is RJ Mesak from Mizoram who climbed 6560 metres.

    Third is Risham from Kerala, who climbed 5970 metres during the week.
