    Week 226 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 29th September 2024.


    Club Stats. 3490 members collectively rode 11430 km in 3063 rides, climbing 595483 metres in 5362 hours!

    The number of members are up by 7 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    11 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    12 rode 600s. 57 rode at least a 200.

    65 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    16 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall


    11 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Sachin Vishnu Ghogare from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1058 km.

    In second place is Atchut Yalavarthi from Telangana who rode 1014 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Achyutha Krishnan from Tamil Nadu. He rode 961 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has got tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 161+ km…

    There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.

    Malika Kalra from Chandigarh was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 426 km. She is 37th overall.

    Next up is Kamala R from Karnataka. Who rode an impressive 286 km. She is 97th overall.

    Third is Devmitra P from Kerala who rode 285 km. She is 99th overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Rides this week coming in from Karnataka!
    Top spot goes to Suman N from Karnataka for the longest ride. He did a 628 km long ride!

     

    Next up is Heyram Kruthik from Karnataka having done a 617 km long ride.

    Third is Achyutha Krishnan from Tamil Nadu, who did a 616 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 65 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

     

    Fastest of the lot is Synclair Dsouza from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 39.9 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 39.1 kmph.

    Third is KPS Oberoi from Delhi averaging 36.7 kmph over the week. He was third last two weeks as well.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Himalayas! 

    Climber of the week is Ashish Choudhary from Rajasthan having climbed 7656 metres. He was KOM last week as well.

    Second is Vinith S from Karnataka who climbed 5937 metres.

    Third is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra, who climbed 5564 metres during the week.
