    Week 249 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 9th March 2025.

    Club Stats. 3608 members collectively rode 121904 km in 3202 rides, climbing 722376 metres in 5598 hours!

    The number of members are up by 3 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride the same. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all constant.

    8 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    5 rode 600s. 19 rode at least a 200.

    71 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    35 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    13 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Ripunjay Gogoi from Assam was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1459 km. He was first last week as well.

    In second place is Varun Namdev from Madhya Pradesh who rode 994 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Dhananjai from Tamil Nadu. He rode 866 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard got easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 195+ km…
    There are 16 women in the top 100 this week, 1 more than last week.

    Gitanjali Galange  from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 770 km. She is 7th overall. She was first last week as well.

    Next up is Kirann MTB Rider from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 554 km. She is 18th overall. She was second last week as well.

    Third is Sachida Yadav from Maharashtra who rode 414 km. She is 32nd overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Rides this week coming in from around the country!

    Top spot goes to Prakash M from Karnataka for the longest ride. He did a 615 km long ride!

    Next up is Jayaprakash Narayan from Karnataka having done a 604 km long ride.

    Third is Arun Sivanesan from Karnataka, who did a 601 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 71 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Yogesh Saini from Haryana who averaged an incredible 36.4 kmph over the week! He was fastest last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.1 kmph.

    Third is Tushar Anand from Delhi averaging 36.1 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to a ride from K2K!

    Climber of the week is Ripunjay Gogoi from Assam having climbed 7194 metres.

    Second is Jayaprakash Narayan from Karnataka who climbed 6673 metres.

    Third is Prakash M from Karnataka, who climbed 6623 metres during the week.
