      Week 240 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 5th January 2025.

      Club Stats. 3556 members collectively rode 134256 km in 3362 rides, climbing 727193 metres in 6199 hours!

      The number of members are up by 1 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

      7 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

      3 rode 600s. 48 rode at least a 200.

      61 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

      8 climbed more than 4000 metres.

                Men Junior – Individual Road Race

                Shaurya Sheoran from Rajasthan won the race finished the 100 km race in 2 hours 40 minutes.

                Ayush Negi from Uttarakhand took second place, just two tenths behind.

                Kishore N from Tamil Nadu was another tenth of a second behind as he took the final place on the podium.

                Criterium – Women Elite

                Swasti Singh from Odisha won the crit amassing 22 points.

                With 14 points in second place was Gupta Muskan from Gujarat.

                Chayanika Gogoi from RSPB took the final place on the podium who also finished with 14 points.

                Criterium – Men Elite

                Sahil Kumar from SSCB won the crit collecting 29 points in the 9 laps.

                He was joined on the podium by his teammates Manjeet Singh in second place and Krishna Nayakodi, who both got 10 points each.

                  Youth Boys – Team Time Trial

                  Karnataka won the youth boys TTT over a 10 km course by averaging 40.2 kmph.

                  Silver was taken by Haryana with an average speed of 40 kmph.

                  Bronze was won by Rajasthan as they averaged 39.9 kmph.

                  Youth Girls – Team Time Trial

                  Rajasthan took gold over the 10 km course in the youth girls TTT, by riding at an average speed of 36.7 kmph.

                  Karnataka won silver by riding at 35.7 kmph.

                  Manipur won bronze while riding just 1 second slower and missing out on second.

                  Men’s Elite – Individual Road Race

                  Bhagirath from AIPSCB reigned supreme as he won gold in the men’s elite road race. He rode the 120 km course in 2 hours and 46 minutes.

                  Sudarshan Devardekar from Maharashtra finished second just 2 tenths of a second further back.

                  Birma Ram from RSPB came in at third.

                  Women’s Elite – Individual Road Race

                  Kaveri N Muranal from RSPB won the women’s elite 60 km road race in 1 hour 43 minutes.

                  Taruna Bishnoi from Rajasthan finished second just two tenths of a second behind the winner.

                  Bronze was taken by Chayanika Gogoi from RSPB, who was another tenth behind.

                  Men Junior – Team Time Trial

                  Rajasthan won gold over the 30 km course covering it an average speed of 44.5 kmph.

                  Karnataka took silver by riding at 43.3 kmph.

                  Tamil Nadu took the last place on the podium with an average speed of 43.2 kmph.

                  Women Junior – Individual Road Race

                  Bhumika from Haryana won gold in the women’s junior road race. She completed the 60 km course in 1 hour 43 minutes.

                  Somya from Rajasthan got silver as she was just one tenth of a second behind.

                  Keerit Nayak took the final place on the podium by being just two hundredths of a second behind.

                  Sub Junior Boys – Individual Road Race

                  Mahaveer Saran from Rajasthan won the 40 km road race in 1 hour 4 minutes.

                  Jeis Thokchom from Manipur took silver as he missed out on the win by three tenths of a second.

                  Shashi Yadav from Bihar took the final place on the podium another two tenths of a second behind.

                  Sub Junior Girls – Individual Road Race

                  Aabha Soman from Maharashtra won the 30 km road race in 57 minutes 47 seconds.

                  In second place was Shravani Parit from Maharashtra who was four tenths of a second behind.

                  Third place was Hashini from Tamil Nadu who was two tenths farther down the road.

                    Youth Boys – Individual Time Trial

                    Dharmaram Saran from Rajasthan won the youth boys ITT, over the 10 km course at an average speed of 39.3 kmph.

                    Ajmal Ashraf from J&K was second at an average speed of 39.2 kmph.

                    Dinesh Gat from Rajasthan finished third at an average speed of 38.8 kmph.

                    Youth Girls – Individual Time Trial

                    Priyanka Dudi from Rajasthan won the youth girls ITT, she rode at 34.9 kmph over the 10 km course.

                    Usham Sandhya Devi from Manipur finished second with an average speed of 34.4 kmph.

                    Ruchira Prabala from Tamil Nadu came in at third with an average speed of 34.1 kmph.

                    Elite – Mixed Team Relay

                    Gold was won by the RSPB team over the 60 km course at an average speed of 43.8 kmph.

                    Silver was grabbed by Maharashtra who averaged 42.9 kmph.

                    Bronze was won by Rajasthan with an average speed of 42.8 kmph.

                     

                    Men’s Under-23 – Individual Road Race

                    Arshad Faridi from Delhi won the race by a whisker over Uday Guled from Karnataka. Ashirwad Saxena from Telangana finished third on the podium.

                    The race was 100 km long and the winners finished it in 2 hours and 25 minutes.

                    Men’s Junior – Individual Time Trial

                    Kailash Jakhar from SSCB won the men’s junior ITT over the 20 km course by clocking 45.3 kmph.

                    Shaurya Sheoran from Rajasthan came second with 45 kmph.

                    Third was Radhakishan Huda from Rajasthan who rode the course at 44.8 kmph.

                    Women Junior – Team Time Trial

                    The women’s junior TTT was won by team Karnataka, who rode the 30 km course at 38.1 kmph.

                    Rajasthan finished in second with an average speed of 38 kmph.

                    Bronze was taken by Maharashtra as they clocked in at 36.6 kmph.

                    Sub Junior Boys – Team Time Trial

                    Rajasthan won the TTT for sub junior boys over the 30 km course by riding at 44.5 kmph.

                    Tamil Nadu took silver by riding at 41 kmph.

                    Bronze was won by Manipur who rode at 40.6 kmph.

                    Sub Junior Girls – Team Time Trial

                    Rajasthan won gold over the 20 km course riding at 36.4 kmph.

                    Karnataka took silver with a speed of 36.3 kmph.

                    Bronze was won by Tamil Nadu who rode at 35.8 kmph.
