    Week 101 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 8th May 2022.

    Club Stats. 2041 members collectively rode 106518 km in 3137 rides, climbing 609777 metres in 4964 hours!

    The number of members are up by 21 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 261 km during the week!

    There were 4 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    13 rode at least a 200.

    55 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 20 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 983 km.

    In second place is Jein Varghese from Kerala who rode 816 km in the week.  He was first last week.

    Third spot is taken by Kathirirajan Varadharajan from Tamil Nadu. He rode 808 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 265+ km…

    Naazia Farhein from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 451 km. She is 16th overall.

    Next up is Akshata Alornekar from Goa. Who rode an impressive 354 km. She is 30th overall.

    Third is Rajikrishna R Nair from Telangana who rode 310 km. She is 57th overall.

    There are 20 women in the top 100 this week, 6 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A lot of double centurions from Karnataka this week.

    Top spot goes to SKD from Karnataka for the longest ride. He did a 217 km long ride!

    Next up is J Vadaluran from Tamil Nadu having done a 215 km long ride.

    Third is Varun Kamath from Karnataka, who did a 214 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 46 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 40.9 kmph over the week! He was first last week as well.

    Second fastest for the week is Vibhav Shinde from Maharashtra whose weekly average is a fantastic 39.5 kmph.

    Third is Ravishankar Natesan from Tamil Nadu averaging 36.9 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Uttarakhand!

    Climber of the week is Vinay Gairola from Uttarakhand having climbed 9126 metres.

    Second is Mihir K from Goa who climbed 8261 metres.

    Third is Biswadip Nag from West Bengal, who climbed 7627 metres during the week. He was first last week.
