Week 111 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 17th July 2022.
Club Stats. 2251 members collectively rode 100760 km in 2730 rides, climbing 554695 metres in 4772 hours!
The number of members are up by 21 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.
To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 256 km during the week!
There were 4 who averaged more than 100 km a day!
5 rode 600s and 7 rode 400s, 33 rode at least a 200.
45 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 17 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…
Leaderboard: Overall
4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day. After a long time we see a lady top the charts.
Swati Sablok from Maharashtra was top of the charts. She rode an incredible 769 km.
In second place is Prathap Pandian from Tamil Nadu who rode 761 km in the week.
Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 735 km. He was first last week.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 196+ km…
Swati Sablok from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 769 km. She is 1st overall.
Next up is Lena Elizabeth Korah from Kerala. Who rode an impressive 289 km. She is 82nd overall.
Third is Ishika Gupta from Delhi who rode 287 km. She is 84th overall.
There are 17 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
Some BIG rides coming in from different parts of the country.
Top spot goes to Anand from Karnataka for the longest ride. He did a 616 km long ride!
Next up is Prathap Pandian from Tamil Nadu having done a 612 km long ride.
Third is SKD from Karnataka, who did a 604 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 45 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Saikrishna from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 41 kmph over the week!
Second fastest for the week is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 40.3 kmph. He was second last week.
Third is Aniket Jagtap from Maharashtra averaging 38.3 kmph over the week. He was first last week.
Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain
The climbing leaderboard went to Odisha and Eastern Ghats for the first time!
Climber of the week is Sambit Supriya Dash from Odisha having climbed 8136 metres.
Second is Biswadip Nag from West Bengal who climbed 7909 metres.
Third is Rahul Paul from West Bengal, who climbed 7221 metres during the week.
