    Week 129 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 20th November 2022.

    Club Stats. 2539 members collectively rode 123361 km in 3348 rides, climbing 654427 metres in 5748 hours!

    The number of members are up by 15 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 302 km during the week!

    There were 9 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    1 rode a 600, 10 rode a 400, 72 rode at least a 200.

    53 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 18 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    7 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Jein Varghese from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1332 km. He was second last week.

    In second place is Dhananjai from Tamil Nadu who rode 1127 km in the week. He was third last week.

    Third spot is taken by Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh. He rode 959 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 275+ km…

    Meghana Ghatge from Gujarat was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 435 km. She is 39th overall.

    Next up is Naazia Farhein from Tamil Nadu. Who rode an impressive 419 km. She is 42nd overall.

    Third is Uttara Ramkumar from Telangana who rode 418 km. She is 44th overall. She was first last week.

    There are 14 women in the top 100 this week, 4 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A solitary rider rode a 600 this week. With a lot of 400s coming in from eastern India.

    Top spot goes to Dhananjai from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 613 km long ride! He was top last week as well.

    Next up is Pranab Saha from Assam having done a 420 km long ride.

    Third is Ripunjay Gogoi from Assam, who did a 412 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 53 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 42.4 kmph over the week! He was third last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Parvez Wadia from Maharashtra whose weekly average is a fantastic 38.9 kmph. He was first last week.

    Third is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu averaging 38 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Uttar Pradesh.

    Climber of the week is Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh having climbed 10811 metres.

    Second is Agnivesh Patel from Uttar Pradesh who climbed 10315 metres.

    Third is Richard Cee from Mizoram, who climbed 10165 metres during the week.
