    Week 130 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 27th November 2022.

    Club Stats. 2563 members collectively rode 116997 km in 3263 rides, climbing 649960 metres in 5495 hours!

    The number of members are up by 24 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 285 km during the week!

    There were 11 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    7 rode 600s, 3 rode 400s, 7 rode 300s and 43 rode at least a 200.

    66 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 20 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    11 riders averaged more than 100 km a day. Incredibly, the top 3 remained unchanged this week.

    Jein Varghese from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1319 km. He was first last week as well.

    In second place is Dhananjai from Tamil Nadu who rode 1148 km in the week. He was second last week.

    Third spot is taken by Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh. He rode 970 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 204+ km…

    Megha Jain from Punjab was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 769 km. She is 9th overall.

    Next up is Malika Kalra from Chandigarh. Who rode an impressive 633 km. She is 17th overall.

    Third is Vandana Dhavate from Telangana who rode 381 km. She is 48th overall.

    There are 11 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    6 rode 600s this week. Brevets were joined by the Deccan Cliffhanger race.

    Top spot goes to Biswadip Nag from West Bengal for the longest ride. He did a 666 km long ride!

    Next up is Dhananjai from Tamil Nadu having done a 666 km long ride. He was first last week.

    Third is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra, who did a 655 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 66 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Michael Joseph from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 40.1 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Aravindh Panneerchelvam from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 39 kmph.

    Third is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu averaging 38.3 kmph over the week. He was third last week as well.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Kerala!

    Climber of the week is Mrudul K from Kerala having climbed 7955 metres.

    Second is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra who climbed 7764 metres.

    Third is Biswadip Nag from West Bengal, who climbed 6969 metres during the week.
