Week 132 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 11th December 2022.
Club Stats. 2579 members collectively rode 110569 km in 2951 rides, climbing 580307 metres in 5186 hours!
The number of members are up by 12 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.
To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 275 km during the week!
There were 17 who averaged more than 100 km a day!
7 rode 600s, 9 rode 400s, 4 rode 300s and 38 rode at least a 200.
56 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 24 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…
Leaderboard: Overall
17 riders averaged more than 100 km a day. 4 rode more than 1000 km this week.
Hari Raju from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1502 km.
In second place is Bala Ji from Tamil Nadu who rode 1499 km in the week.
Third spot is taken by Bhavesh Jaiswal from Telangana. He rode 1291 km.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 181+ km…
Naazia Farhein from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 534 km. She is 25th overall.
Next up is Uttara Ramkumar from Telangana. Who rode an impressive 530 km. She is 27th overall.
Third is Vaishali Pawar from Maharashtra who rode 404 km. She is 45th overall.
There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 8 less than last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
A bunch of 600s coming in from different parts of the country this week.
Top spot goes to Rachit Singhvi from Rajasthan for the longest ride. He did a 625 km long ride!
Next up is Nidhish Pandhoriya from Maharashtra having done a 624 km long ride.
Third is Jai Madhav from Maharashtra, who did a 606 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 56 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Ravishankar Natesan from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 37.9 kmph over the week! He was second last week.
Second fastest for the week is Manthan Thakkar from Gujarat whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.6 kmph.
Third is Aviral Singh from Uttar Pradesh averaging 35.9 kmph over the week.
Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain
The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats of Maharashtra.
Climber of the week is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra having climbed 6923 metres.
Second is Joel Sundaram from Karnataka who climbed 6332 metres.
Third is Atchut Yalavarthi from Telangana, who climbed 5238 metres during the week.
