    Week 146 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 19th March 2023.

    Club Stats. 2769 members collectively rode 106882 km in 3197 rides, climbing 569723 metres in 5043 hours!

    The number of members are up by 9 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    5 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    5 rode 600s and 22 rode at least a 200.

    55 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 13 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    5 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Rupesh Bali  from Chandigarh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1167 km. He was second last week.

    In second place is Shain from Kerala who rode 783 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Gopinath Kattaian from Tamil Nadu. He rode 765 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 200+ km…

    Malika Kalra from Chandigarh was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 376 km. She is 24th overall. She was second last week.

    Next up is Miruthula Gopu from Tamil Nadu. Who rode an impressive 318 km. She is 51st overall.

    Third is Swati Sablok from Punjab who rode 255 km. She is 96th overall.

    There are 10 women in the top 100 this week, 2 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A bunch of long rides coming in from different parts of the country this week.

    Top spot goes to Gopinath Kattaian from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 668 km long ride!

    Next up is Hitesh Sablok from Haryana having done a 619 km long ride.

    Third is Ganesh Gowtham from Tamil Nadu, who did a 606 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 55 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Ashley Moras from Gujarat who averaged an incredible 37.7 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Aviral Singh from Uttar Pradesh whose weekly average is a fantastic 37.5 kmph.

    Third is Mayank Tripathi from Canada averaging 35.6 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghat!

    Climber of the week is Sujith K from Kerala having climbed 6943 metres.

    Second is Andrew Raistrick from Tamil Nadu who climbed 6134 metres.

    Third is Anand Kapil from Haryana, who climbed 5732 metres during the week.
