    Week 209 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 2nd June 2024.


    Club Stats. 3367 members collectively rode 107862 km in 3073 rides, climbing 560725 metres in 5057 hours!

    The number of members are up by 7 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride the same. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all constant.

    5 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    16 rode at least a 200.

    66 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    10 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    5 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Gajendra Dutta Mishra from Uttar Pradesh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 981 km.

    In second place is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who rode 898 km in the week. He was third last week.

    Third spot is taken by Anil Gurung from Uttarakhand. He rode 794 km. He was first last week.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has got easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 177+ km…

    There are 11 women in the top 100 this week, 1 more than last week.

    Kamala R from Karnataka was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 367 km. She is 32nd overall. She was third last week.

    Next up is Meghana Ghatge from Karnataka. Who rode an impressive 329 km. She is 49th overall.

    Third is Vaishali Pawar from Maharashtra who rode 328 km. She is 50th overall. She was second last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A few long rides this week from around the country!

    Top spot goes to Pradish Sandanaraj from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 271 km long ride!

    Next up is Samad Hanbal from Karnataka having done a 256 km long ride.

    Third is Mallikarjuna B from Karnataka, who did a 224 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 66 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is SM from Haryana who averaged an incredible 36.8 kmph over the week! He was first last week as well.

    Second fastest for the week is Divyanshu Singh from Delhi whose weekly average is a fantastic 35.9 kmph.

    Third is Mayank Tripathi from Canada averaging 35.7 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats!

    Climber of the week is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra having climbed 6668 metres. He was second last week.

    Second is Hemant Poudel from West Bengal who climbed 5474 metres.

    Third is Jasprit Paul from Himachal Pradesh, who climbed 5415 metres during the week.
