    Week 219 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 11th August 2024.

    Club Stats. 3434 members collectively rode 93184 km in 2646 rides, climbing 467005 metres in 4373 hours!

    The number of members are up by 6 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    6 rider averaged more than 100 km a day.

    4 rode 500s. 24 rode at least a 200.

    58 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    8 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    6 rider averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Jarnail Singh from Punjab was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 951 km.

    In second place is Gurpreet Singh Kamow from Punjab who rode 949 km in the week. He was third last week.

    Third spot is taken by Zaakk from Kerala. He rode 914 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has got easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 187+ km…

    There are 18 women in the top 100 this week, 1 more than last week.

    Gungeet Kaur from Punjab was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 520 km. She is 18th overall. She was first last two weeks.

    Next up is Megha Jain from Punjab. Who rode an impressive 424 km. She is 31st overall.

    Third is Katyayani Bhargav from Madhya Pradesh who rode 338 km.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Rides this week coming in from around India!

    Top spot goes to Ben Lawrence J from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 562 km long ride!

    Next up is Saravanan Thangavel from Tamil Nadu having done a 559 km long ride.

    Third is Sugandh Sathiamoorthi, who did a 558 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 58 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Unmesh Ahluwalia from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 38 kmph over the week! He was fastest last two weeks as well.

    Second fastest for the week is Reneav from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 37.9 kmph.

    Third is Tarun Yadav from Delhi averaging 34.7 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Nilgiris!

    Climber of the week is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu having climbed 8973 metres. He was third last week.

    Second is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra who climbed 6018 metres.

    Third is Atharva Kuberkar from Canada, who climbed 5336 metres during the week.
