    Week 256 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 27th April 2025.

    Club Stats. 3635 members collectively rode 114618 km in 3051 rides, climbing 633300 metres in 5151 hours!

    The number of members are up by 3 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    1 rode a 600. 22 rode at least a 200.

    74 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    10 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    James Stevenson from Goa was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 820 km.

    In second place is Gajendra Dutta Mishra from Uttar Pradesh who rode 816 km in the week. He was first last week.

    Third spot is taken by Achyutha Krishnan from Tamil Nadu. He rode 722 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard got tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 249+ km…
    There are 13 women in the top 100 this week, 7 more than last week.

    Gungeet Kaur from Punjab was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 402 km. She is 30th overall.

    Next up is Kirann MTB Rider from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 360 km. She is 43rd overall. She was first last week.

    Third is Radhika Arora from Karnataka who rode 341 km. She is 51st overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Rides this week coming in from India and around!

    Top spot goes to Pradhap Antony from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 611 km long ride!

    Next up is Chandra Pandey from Scotland having done a 324 km long ride.

    Third is M Peer Mohamed Sardhar from Karnataka, who did a 303 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

     

    The top 74 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Tenzin Kunchok from Uttar Pradesh who averaged an incredible 37.2 kmph over the week! He was third last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Aditya Choudhury from Karnataka whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.1 kmph.

    Third is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu averaging 35.9 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the hills of Manipur!

    Climber of the week is Bike Ride More Lives from Manipur having climbed 5692 metres.

    Second is John K Sunny from Kerala who climbed 5618 metres.

    Third is Achyutha Krishnan from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 4891 metres during the week. He was third last week as well.
