    Week 279 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 5th October 2025.

    Club Stats. 3753 members collectively rode 103991 km in 2847 rides, climbing 592574 metres in 4778 hours!

    The number of members are up by 3 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    2 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    1 rode a 400. 16 rode at least a 200.

    76 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.

    14 climbed more than 4000 metres.

    Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    2 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Achyutha Krishnan from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 795 km.

    In second place is Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh who rode 724 km in the week. He was second last week as well.

    Third spot is taken by Srinivasan Rangasamy from Tamil Nadu. He rode 623 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard got tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 188+ km…
    There are 19 women in the top 100 this week, 6 more than last week.

    Somasree Roychowdhury from Karnataka was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 423 km. She is 17th overall.

    Next up is Vandana Dhavate from Telangana. Who rode an impressive 316 km. She is 48th overall. She was third last week.

    Third is Kirann MTB Rider from Maharashtra who rode 314 km. She is 50th overall. She was second last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Rides this week coming in from 3 states!

    Top spot goes to Malhar Sant from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 401 km long ride!

    Next up is M Peer Mohamed Sardhar from Karnataka having done a 327 km long ride.

    Third is Mallikarjuna B from Karnataka, who did a 312 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 76 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Synclair Dsouza from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 39.4 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Yogesh Saini from Haryana whose weekly average is a fantastic 37.2 kmph.

    Third is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra averaging 36.9 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats!

    Climber of the week is Udhay Asokan from Tamil Nadu having climbed 9089 metres. He was third last week.

    Second is Achyutha Krishnan from Tamil Nadu who climbed 8513 metres.

    Third is Jaya Chandran from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 7906 metres during the week.
