Week 292 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 4th January 2026.
The number of members are up by 6 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.
4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.
1 rode a 300. 40 rode at least a 200.
63 averaged above 30 kmph for the week.
13 climbed more than 4000 metres.
Incredible riding by everyone.

Leaderboard: Overall
KSK Senthil from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 878 km.
In second place is Achyutha Krishnan from Tamil Nadu who rode 769 km in the week.
Third spot is taken by Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh. He rode 742 km.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard got tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 224+ km…
There are 18 women in the top 100 this week, 5 more than last week.
Kirann from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 455 km. She is 20th overall.
Next up is Pradnya Ajagar from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 412 km. She is 34th overall. She was third last week.
Third is Sachida Yadav from Maharashtra who rode 391 km. She is 41st overall. She was first last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
Rides this week coming in from around the country!
Top spot goes to Biswanath Tarai from Odisha for the longest ride. He did a 352 km long ride!
Next up is Kamlesh Rana from Indian Army having done a 291 km long ride.
Third is Pradeep Thorat from Maharashtra, who did a 260 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 63 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 37.3 kmph over the week! He was fastest last week as well.
Second fastest for the week is Sangam Pattnaik from Chandigarh whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.8 kmph.
Third is Tushar Bakaya from Haryana averaging 36.6 kmph over the week.
Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain
The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats!
Climber of the week is Achyutha Krishnan from Tamil Nadu having climbed 10306 metres.
Second is Arokia Manoj from Tamil Nadu who climbed 6414 metres.
Third is Biswadip Nag from West Bengal, who climbed 5608 metres during the week.
