ROING, ARUNACHAL PRADESH — The Cycling Federation of India (CFI) has officially announced that the 22nd Senior, Junior, and Sub-Junior National Mountain Bike (MTB) Cycling Championships will be held in the picturesque town of Roing, located in the Lower Dibang Valley of Arunachal Pradesh. Scheduled to take place from February 12 to 15, 2026, this premier sporting event will be organized under the management of the Arunachal Cycling Association.
This championship represents a significant moment for the region, which is increasingly recognized as a premier destination for adventure sports in India. Following the 21st edition previously held in Panchkula, Haryana, the move to the challenging and scenic terrains of the Northeast is expected to provide a rigorous test for the nation’s top off-road cyclists.
All participating riders are required to hold a valid 2026 rider’s license issued by the CFI. Furthermore, the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) will be present to conduct random dope tests throughout the four-day event.
The organizers have made comprehensive arrangements to support the hundreds of expected participants. Boarding and lodging facilities will be provided starting February 10, with teams scheduled to check out on the morning of February 16. Transportation will be facilitated from the Tinsukia Railway Station, while Dibrugarh serves as the nearest airport for those traveling by air.
Affiliated teams must submit their official entries and the names of up to two team managers by January 31, 2026. To support the technical preparation of the squads, the CFI will also host a dedicated orientation and training seminar for team managers. For additional information, participants may contact Sh. Taka Tamut, General Secretary of the Arunachal Cycling Association, or Coordinator Ms. Ragini Saxena.
