      Week 21 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 25th October 2020.

      Club Stats. 508 members collectively rode 51150 km in 1263 rides, climbing 260659 metres in 2318 hours!

      The number of members are up by 19 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride MORE, with number of rides, total distance and time spent on the saddle up marginally as compared to last week. This is the first time that club crossed 50000 km in a week! Total elevation gained was down as compared to last week.

      To be in the top 100, you needed to ride 189 km during the week!

      Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

      Leaderboard: Overall

      After a long time, this leaderboard has seen a shakeup in proceedings. The top 3 all rode more than 900 km in the week. Crazy!

      Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 978 km. He was 2nd last week.

      In second place is Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar who rode 963 km in the week. Just a handful of kilometres less than 1st place.

      Third spot is taken by Srinath Kareti from Tamil Nadu. He rode 938 km. He is a new entrant to the leaderboard.

      Leaderboard: Women

      Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala was top of the charts this week. Riding a whopping 893 km. She is 4th overall and was 1st last week as well.

      Next up is Samridhi Jaiswal from Uttar Pradesh. Who rode an impressive 477 km. She is 19th overall and is a new entrant to the leaderboard.

      Third is Pradnya Ajagar from Maharashtra who rode 337 km. She is 40th overall.

      There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 3 more than last week.

      This section of the leaderboard is the only one which sees a major shakeup every week. With the other’s more or less set in stone!

      Top spot goes to Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala for the longest ride. She did a 405 km long ride!

      Next up is DNA from New Delhi having done a 252 km long ride.

      Third is Mr. Unknown from Chandigarh, who did a 247 km long ride.

      The top 4 are all double centurions!

      The top 3 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace while clocking incredible mileage.

      Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 40.3 kmph over the week! That is FAST. He was fastest last week as well. Talk about consistency.

      Second fastest for the week is Aditya Malhotra from Delhi whose weekly average is an incredible 38.9 kmph. He was second last week as well.

      Third is Sumit Patil from Maharashtra averaging 35.7 kmph over the week.

      Tamil Nadu regained top spot in the climbing category this week, after losing it for a week!

      Climber of the week is Imaad Sait from Tamil Nadu having climbed 7569 metres. He has been KOM over many many weeks!

      Second is Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra who climbed 6324 metres. He was KOM last week.

      Third is Mr. Unknown from Chandigarh, who climbed 5623 metres during the week.

        Week 22 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 1st November 2020.

        Club Stats. 533 members collectively rode 56257 km in 1368 rides, climbing 284593 metres in 2572 hours!

        The number of members are up by 25 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride MORE, with number of rides, total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle up substantially as compared to last week. This is the second time that club crossed 50000 km in a week!

        To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 207 km during the week!

        There were three riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week. 63 riders who rode at least a century. 6 who averaged above 30 kmph for the week. Incredible riding by everyone.

        Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

        After a long time, this leaderboard has seen a shakeup in proceedings. The top 3 all rode more than 1000 km in the week. Crazy!

        Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1619 km. He is the latest entrant to the club and top of the charts! He rode a massive 700 km ride as well.

        In second place is Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar who rode 1283 km in the week. Significantly more than he rode last week. Yet he remains in 2nd place, same as last week.

        Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 1024 km. He was 1st last week.

        The women’s leaderboard is getting more competitive every week.

        Pradnya Ajagar from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an impressive 303 km. She is 46th overall and was 3rd last week.

        Next up is Simmy Pardal from Uttarakhand. Who rode an impressive 276 km. She is 60th overall and back on the leaderboard.

        Third is Hitisha Mehta from Maharashtra who rode 243 km. She is 77th overall. She was 4th last week and has made up a spot.

          Club Stats. 557 members collectively rode 56228 km in 1361 rides, climbing 292939 metres in 2676 hours!

          The number of members are up by 24 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride the same, with number of rides, total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle almost the same as last week. This is the third time that the club crossed 50000 km in a week!

          To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 197 km during the week!

          There were two riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week. 70 riders who rode at least a century. 5 who averaged above 30 kmph for the week. Incredible riding by everyone.

            Club Stats. 576 members collectively rode 52036 km in 1291 rides, climbing 265234 metres in 2422 hours!

            The number of members are up by 19 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride significantly less, with number of rides, total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle down.

            Riders this week, spent more time eating sweets at Diwali and less time on the saddle…

            To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 183 km during the week!

            There were two riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week and 8 who rode more than 100 a day!

            51 riders who rode at least a century. 7 who averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 8 who climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

                      The top 2 rode more than 1000 km in the week. Crazy!

                      Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar was top of the charts. He rode a mind boggling 1656 km. He was first last four weeks as well.

                      In second place is Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra who rode 1495 km in the week. Impressive numbers, averaging more than 200 km a day! He was 3rd last week.

                      Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 853 km, more than 100 km a day.

                      The women’s leaderboard is getting more competitive every week.

                      Alexina Correya from Kerala was top of the charts this week. Riding an impressive 318 km. She is 47th overall.

                      Next up is Hitisha Mehta from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 289 km. She is 57th overall. She was 3rd last week.

                      Third is Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala who rode 273 km. She is 62nd overall.

                      There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 2 more than last week.

                      Leaderboard: Longest Ride

                      The top 10 all did 300+ km rides! A couple of new names at the top this week.

                      Top spot goes to Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 701 km long ride!

                      Next up is Ranbir Singh Bagga from Telangana having done a 502 km long ride.

                      Third is Ripunjay Gogoi from Assam, who did a 414 km long ride.

                      The top 3 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

                      Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 36.7 kmph over the week! He was fastest last couple of weeks as well.

                      Second fastest for the week is Divyam Patel from Gujarat whose weekly average is an incredible 33.1 kmph.

                      Third is Jonas Spinoy from Rajasthan averaging 31 kmph over the week.

                      Riding in the Himalayas helped seal the top spots this week!

                      Climber of the week is Anil Gurung from Uttarakhand having climbed 5906 metres.

                        Week 30 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 27th December 2020.

                        Club Stats. 677 members collectively rode 60400 km in 1444 rides, climbing 326228 metres in 2878 hours!

                        The number of members are up by 11 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride MORE with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up.

                        To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 209 km during the week!

                        There were 4 riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week and 6 who rode more than 100 a day!

                        5 people did 300+ km rides. 15 people did at least 200 km rides. 66 riders rode at least a century!

                        10 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 9 who climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
