    Week 9 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 2nd August 2020.

    Club Stats. 315 members collectively rode 36943 km in 998 rides, climbing 188185 metres in 1738 hours!

    The number of members are up by 18 as compared to last week.Total kilometres, rides and number of hours on the saddle are all up in comparison. Elevation gained has gone down marginally…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    Top of the charts is for the first time Subu Narayanan from Tamil Nadu clocking 879 km. His total mileage is impressive, but what is even more impressive is the fact that he also has the longest ride to his name. Even more incredibly, he has clocked this insane mileage at a mouth frothing 30 kmph! Hats off to this incredible gentleman…

    In second place is last week’s topper SR Sukhwinder Singh from Punjab who rode 870 km in the week. He is just marginally behind Subu. Impressively he has been amongst the top spots for the last 5 weeks…

    Third spot is taken by Rahul Nalawade from Maharasthra. He rode 694 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    Among the women in the club, Simmy Pardal from Uttarakhand was back at the top and in 65th place overall riding 204 km this week. Last week she was third.

    In second place is Pradnya Ajagar from Maharashtra, with 187 km under her belt for the week. She is 70th overall.

    Third is Krithi Cheeki Buki from Tamil Nadu having ridden 144 km this week. She is 100th overall.

    There are a total of 3 women in the top 100 this week, down by 1 as compared to last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    This section of the leaderboard is the only one which sees a major shakeup every week. With the other’s more or less set in stone! This is the first time in a long time, that no one has ridden a 200+ km ride…

    Top spot goes to Subu Narayanan from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride, doing a 168 km long ride!

    Next up is Hemabh Choudhary from Assam having done a 160 km ride.

    Third is Sukhwinder Singh from Punjab, who did a 153,2 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    Average speeds are down this week.

    Fastest of the lot is Manav Chandwani from Gujarat who averaged 30.9 kmph.

    Second fastest for the week is Sam Solomon from Karnataka whose weekly average is 30.6 kmph.

    Third is Tarun Kumar from Maharashtra averaging 30.3 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Tamil Nadu once again clean sweeps the top spots in the climbing category this week.

    Climber of the week is once again Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu having climbed 6474 metres.

    Second is Imaad Sait from Tamil Nadu. He climbed 6089 metres this week.

    Third is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu, he climbed 3999 metres during the week.
