    Week 12 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 23rd August 2020.

    Club Stats. 365 members collectively rode 37226 km in 965 rides, climbing 198821 metres in 1787 hours!

    The number of members are up by 7 as compared to last week. All the stats are DOWN from last week as everyone rode much less this week!

    Kudos to all these fantastic people…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    Sukhwinder Singh from Punjab was once again top of the charts. He has been in the first couple of positions for the last 8 weeks! He rode a mind boggling 1458 km. This is the highest mileage recorded in a week on the CyclingMonks leaderboard ever.

    In second place is once again Subu Narayanan from Tamil Nadu who rode 800 km in the week. Once again he impressively clocked this mileage at an average speed of 30 kmph!

    Third spot is taken by Sanjay Sharma from Rajasthan. He rode 638 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    Among the women in the club, Garima Takyar from Haryana was once again at the top and in 72nd place overall, riding an impressive 186 km this week.

    In second place is Alexina Correya from Kerala, with a solid 149 km under her belt for the week. She is 99th overall.

    There are 2 women in the top 100 this week, down by 1 as compared to last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    This section of the leaderboard is the only one which sees a major shakeup every week. With the other’s more or less set in stone!

    Top spot goes to Bhargab Saikia from Assam for the longest ride. He did an incredible 303 km long ride!

    Next up is Shivam Singh from Haryana having done a mammoth 277 km ride.

    Third is Vishal Pareek from Rajasthan, who did a 231 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 3 have been riding at some decent pace…

    Fastest of the lot is Jateen Joshi from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 32.7 kmph on his 180 km ride!

    Second fastest for the week is Sankalp Thorat from Maharashtra whose weekly average is an identical 32.7 kmph.

    Third is Garima Takyar from Haryana averaging 32.5 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Tamil Nadu once again clean sweeps the top spots in the climbing category this week.

    Climber of the week is Imaad Sait from Tamil Nadu having climbed 7311 metres. An incredible amount. He was KOM last week as well.

    Second is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He climbed 5280 metres this week.

    Third is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu, he climbed 3845 metres during the week.

    *In this category, only rides recorded on devices with barometers are eligible. Phone Strava is known to give wildly inaccurate altitude gain readings and therefore are not taken into account!
