    Week 15 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 13th September 2020.

    Club Stats. 417 members collectively rode 40992 km in 1088 rides, climbing 224285 metres in 1944 hours!

    The number of members are up by 18 as compared to last week. The week saw more than a 1000 rides again and almost 2000 hours of saddle time. Good mileage by club members!

    Leaderboard: Overall

    Sukhwinder Singh from Punjab was once again top of the charts. He has been in the first couple of positions for the last 11 weeks! He rode an insane 1612 km. More than 200 km a day.

    In second place is new entrant to this lofty position Satyam Singh from Tripura who rode 842 km in the week. Impressive mileage!

    Third spot is taken by Subu Narayanan from Tamil Nadu. He rode 777 km at an incredible 31 kmph!

    Leaderboard: Women

    Kavitha Narayan from Karnataka was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 389 km. She is 19th overall. She was 3rd last week.

    Next up is Riya Khatkar from Chandigarh. Who rode an amazing 334 km. She was first last week. She is 30th overall.

    Third is Garima Takyar from Haryana, who rode 200 km. Making sure that all three top women were riding 200+ km. Incredible performance by her as she did this at 31+ kmph. She is 78th overall and was second last week.

    There are 3 women in the top 100 this week, down by 2 in comparison to last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    This section of the leaderboard is the only one which sees a major shakeup every week. With the other’s more or less set in stone!

    Top spot goes to Mayank Tripathi from Canada for the longest ride. He did a fantastic 313.6 km long ride!

    Next up is Satyam Singh from Tripura having done a mammoth 309.9 km ride. Just a handful of kilometres from the top spot.

    Third is Ashish Borkar from Maharashtra, who did a 173.2 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 3 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace…

    Fastest of the lot is Sumit Patil from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 35.4 kmph over the week! That is FAST considering he rode 200+ km.

    Second fastest for the week is Satvik Gupta from Haryana whose weekly average is an incredible 33.6 kmph.

    Third is, the flying lady, Garima Takyar from Haryana averaging 31.6 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Tamil Nadu once again takes the top spot in the climbing category this week.

    Climber of the week is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu having climbed 7139 metres. He took the KOM last week couple of weeks as well.

    *In this category, only rides recorded on devices with barometers are eligible. Phone Strava is known to give wildly inaccurate altitude gain readings and therefore are not taken into account!
