    Week 32 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 10th January 2021.

    Club Stats. 699 members collectively rode 58506 km in 1470 rides, climbing 293700 metres in 2761 hours!

    The number of members are up by 10 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 199 km during the week!

    There were 2 riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week and 5 who rode more than 100 a day!

    4 people did 600+ km rides. 21 people did at least 200 km rides. 64 riders rode at least a century!

    4 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 7 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    The top 2 rode more than 1000 km in the week. Crazy!

    Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar was top of the charts. He rode a mind boggling 1332 km. He was second last week.

    In second place is Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh who rode 1163 km in the week. Impressive numbers! He was 3rd last week.

    Third spot is taken by Sachin Nemade from Maharashtra. He rode 887 km. He is back in the top spots after a long hiatus.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard was back to being competitive.

    Pradnya Ajagar from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an impressive 432 km. She is 18th overall and was third last week.

    Next up is Simmy Pardal from Uttarakhand. Who rode an impressive 301 km. She is 48th overall.

    Third is Sneha Narayanan from Maharashtra who rode 281 km. She is 52nd overall.

    There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 4 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The top 10 all did 200+ km rides!

    Top spot goes to Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 604 km long ride!

    Next up is Bhaskar Reddy from Andhra Pradesh having done a 602 km long ride.

    Third is Charul Parkar from Maharashtra, who did a 601 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 4 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Vishaish Pratap Singh from Delhi who averaged an incredible 32.3 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Satvik Gupta from Haryana whose weekly average is an incredible 30.5 kmph.

    Third is Vivek Raj from Karnataka averaging 30.3 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Riding around the country helps take KOM this week. Again!

    Climber of the week is Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh having climbed 6338 metres. He is currently on a ride around India along the Golden Quadrilateral. Climbing through the Western Ghats helped secure KOM.

    Second is Sachin Nemade from Maharashtra who climbed 6153 metres.

    Third is Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra, who climbed 5501 metres during the week.
