    Week 33 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 17th January 2021.

    Club Stats. 710 members collectively rode 59329 km in 1522 rides, climbing 282377 metres in 2816 hours!

    The number of members are up by 11 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 195 km during the week!

    There were 4 riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week and 5 who rode more than 100 a day!

    1 who did 400+ km ride. 14 people did at least 200 km rides. 54 riders rode at least a century!

    7 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 3 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    The top 4 rode more than 1000 km in the week. Crazy!

    Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode a mind boggling 2315 km. The first time we have seen that happen on the Strava Club!

    In second place is Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar who rode 1567 km in the week. Impressive numbers! He was 1st last week.

    Third spot is taken by Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh. He rode 1298 km. He is riding around the country on his single speed currently.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard was for a change dominated by ladies from outside Maharashtra!

    Priyanka Mehta from Uttarakhand was top of the charts this week. Riding an impressive 297 km in the mountains. She is 52nd overall.

    Next up is Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala. Who rode an impressive 242 km. She is 73rd overall.

    Third is Alexina Correya from Kerala who rode 231 km. She is 76th overall.

    There are 5 women in the top 100 this week, 2 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The top 10 all did 200+ km rides!

    Top spot goes to Kunal Khairnar from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 407 km long ride!

    Next up is Tales on Wheels from Assam having done a 247 km long ride.

    Third is Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh, who did a 218 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 7 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 35.5 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Satvik Gupta from Haryana whose weekly average is an incredible 35.3 kmph. He was second last week as well.

    Third is Aditya Nandkarni from Maharashtra averaging 31.1 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    For the first time the CyclingMonks leaderboard sees a Queen of the Mountains. Congrats, we are delighted to see this.

    Climber of the week is Priyanka Mehta from Uttarakhand having climbed 4466 metres. She has been riding a lot in the mountains.

    Second is Aditya Saxena from also from Uttarakhand who climbed 4101 metres.

    Third is Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh, who climbed 4023 metres during the week. He is riding around India on the Golden Quadrilateral…
