    Week 34 Update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 24th January 2021.

    Club Stats. 726 members collectively rode 60896 km in 1645 rides, climbing 311141 metres in 2837 hours!

    The number of members are up by 16 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride significantly more with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 204 km during the week!

    There were 4 riders who rode more than 1000 km in the week and 7 who rode more than 100 a day!

    4 did 600+ km ride. 19 people did at least 200 km rides. 49 riders rode at least a century!

    4 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 7 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    The top 4 rode more than 1000 km in the week. Crazy! The top 2 remained unchanged from last week.

    Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode a mind boggling 2805 km. He was first last week as well.

    In second place is Rakesh Kumar Pawan from Bihar who rode 2085 km in the week. Impressive numbers! He was second last week as well.

    Third spot is taken by Srinath Kareti from Tamil Nadu. He rode 1400 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard was lacklustre this week! With just a handful putting in the miles.

    Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala was top of the charts this week. Riding an impressive 328 km. She is 42nd overall. She was second last week.

    Next up is Hitisha Mehta from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 254 km. She is 73rd overall.

    Third is Tara Jayaraman from Karnataka who rode 206 km. She is 98th overall.

    There are 3 women in the top 100 this week, 2 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The top 10 all did 300+ km rides!

    Top spot goes to Shirish Kulavattath from Kerala for the longest ride. He did a 605.7 km long ride!

    Next up is Mayur Kherdikar from Goa having done a 605.3 km long ride. Missing out top spot by 400 metres…

    Third is Ranbir Bagga from Telangana, who did a 604.6 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 4 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Satvik Gupta from Haryana who averaged an incredible 34.8 kmph over the week! He was second last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Aman Sharma from Delhi whose weekly average is an incredible 34.2 kmph.

    Third is Vishaish Pratap Singh from Delhi averaging 32.6 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Tamil Nadu is back at the top of this leaderboard.

    Climber of the week is Imaad Sait from Tamil Nadu having climbed 6129 metres. He is back at the top after a long time.

    Second is Sonam Rana from also from Uttarakhand who climbed 5891 metres as he rode from Dehradun to Manali.

    Third is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 5389 metres during the week. He is also back at the top after a long time.
