    Week 53 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 6th June 2021.

    Club Stats. 1029 members collectively rode 70585 km in 2142 rides, climbing 448773 metres in 3355 hours!

    The number of members are up by 21 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more, with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up by a massive margin.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 210 km during the week!

    There were 7 who rode more than 100 a day!

    60 riders rode at least a century!

    27 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 16 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    This leaderboard sees Nishant Gupta regain the top spot in a hard fought leaderboard with Gujarat having a strong showing.

    Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1120 km. He was second last week.

    In second place is Ankit Kamdar from Gujarat who rode 909 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Kanan Patel from Gujarat. She rode 793 km. This is the first time we have a girl in the top 3 of the overall leaderboard.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard dominated by the state of Gujarat and has once again become extremely competitive! The top two women switched places from last week.

    Kanan Patel from Gujarat was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 793 km. She is 3rd overall.

    Next up is Smital Patel from Gujarat. Who rode an impressive 769 km. She is 5th overall.

    Third is Pradnya Ajagar from Maharashtra who rode 432 km. She is 16th overall.

    There are 9 women in the top 100 this week, 4 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The summer heat and lockdowns ensured that no one did long rides this week!

    Top spot goes to Rajvardhan Rathore from Rajasthan for the longest ride. He did a 191 km long ride!

    Next up is Umang Choudhary from Gujarat having done a 151 km long ride.

    Third is Aniket Parmar from Gujarat, who did a 150 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 29 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 36.1 kmph over the week! He was fastest last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Hitesh Kumar from Karnataka whose weekly average is a fantastic 35.8 kmph.

    Third is Vibhav Shinde from Maharashtra averaging 35.1 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Himachal Pradesh dominated proceedings! Especially the mountain climbers from Shimla…

    Climber of the week is Gaurav Negi from Himachal Pradesh having climbed 9497 metres. He was KOM last two weeks as well.

    Second is Sandeep Thapa from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 9378 metres.

    Third is Parvick Kukreja from Himachal Pradesh, who climbed 7634 metres during the week.
