    Week 54 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 13th June 2021.

    Club Stats. 1057 members collectively rode 75242 km in 2215 rides, climbing 470177 metres in 3600 hours!

    The number of members are up by 28 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more, with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up by a massive margin.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 228 km during the week!

    There were 7 who rode more than 100 a day!

    1 rode a triple century, while 6 rode a double century. 65 riders rode at least a century!

    26 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 13 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    This leaderboard sees Gujarat whitewashing the leaderboard!

    Smital Patel from Gujarat was top of the charts. She rode an incredible 1331 km. This is the first time a girl has topped the overall leaderboard.

    In second place is Umang Chaudhary from Gujarat who rode 1152 km in the week. He is in the top for the first time.

    Third spot is taken by Kanan Patel from Gujarat. She rode 1128 km. This is the first time we have two girls in the top 3. She was third last week as well.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard was dominated by the state of Gujarat and has once again become extremely competitive! The top two women switched places from last week.

    Smital Patel from Gujarat was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 1331 km. She is 1st overall as well. She was second last week.

    Next up is Kanan Patel from Gujarat. Who rode an impressive 1128 km. She is 3rd overall. She was first last week.

    Third is Shivangi Tiwari from Delhi who rode 282 km. She is 58th overall.

    There are 5 women in the top 100 this week, 4 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week!

    Top spot goes to Umang Chaudhary from Gujarat for the longest ride. He did a 300 km long ride! He was second last week.

    Next up is Mihir Patel from Gujarat having done a 222 km long ride.

    Third is Smital Patel from Gujarat, who did a 203 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 27 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 35.2 kmph over the week! He is back at the top after a hiatus.

    Second fastest for the week is Prince Patel from USA whose weekly average is a fantastic 34.5 kmph.

    Third is Mayank Tripathi from Canada averaging 34 kmph over the week. He was first last week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Himachal Pradesh dominated proceedings last week and the boys from Shimla staked their claim to a clean sweep of the top 10 this week. But Uttarakhand nipped that idea in the bud!

    Climber of the week is Sonam Rana from Uttarakhand having climbed 11970 metres.

    Second is Mikamzii from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 8543 metres.

    Third is Parvick Kukreja from Himachal Pradesh, who climbed 8339 metres during the week. He was second last week as well.
