    Week 55 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 20th June 2021.

    Club Stats. 1075 members collectively rode 67794 km in 2014 rides, climbing 418318 metres in 3269 hours!

    The number of members are up by 18 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less, with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 204 km during the week!

    There were 2 who rode more than 100 a day!

    4 rode a double century. 63 riders rode at least a century!

    27 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 12 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    This leaderboard sees Nishant back at the top after getting dethroned for a week!

    Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1261 km.

    In second place is Deerendra CR from Karnataka who rode 815 km in the week. He is in the top for the first time.

    Third spot is taken by GK Rider from Andhra Pradesh. He rode 677 km. He is the top 3 for the first time.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard was dominated by the state of Maharashtra.

    Neha Tikam from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 285 km. She is back at the top after a long time. She is 39th overall.

    Next up is Rajlaxmi Teli from Maharashtra. Who rode an impressive 273 km. She is 47th overall.

    Third is Payal Bhatia from Maharashtra who rode 264 km. She is 53rd overall. This is the first time for her in the top 3.

    There are 4 women in the top 100 this week, 1 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week!

    Top spot goes to Malinath Koli from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 214 km long ride!

    Next up is AB Fale from Maharashtra having done a 212 km long ride.

    Third is Sumith MK from Karnataka, who did a 203 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 26 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace. The top 3 remain unchanged, which just the order getting switched around.

    Fastest of the lot is Prince Patel from USA who averaged an incredible 37.2 kmph over the week! He was second last week.

    Second fastest for the week is Mayank Tripathi from Canada whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.8 kmph. He was third last week.

    Third is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu averaging 35 kmph over the week. He was first last week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Riders from around the country seemed to have gone hill climbing this week!

    Climber of the week is Sonam Rana from Uttarakhand having climbed 9406 metres. He was KOM last week as well.

    Second is Harsh Awasthi from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 6120 metres.

    Third is Imaad Sait from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 5928 metres during the week.
