    Week 57 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 4th July 2021.

    Club Stats. 1130 members collectively rode 90645 km in 2473 rides, climbing 547947 metres in 4435 hours!

    The number of members are up by 24 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more, with total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all up substantially.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 274 km during the week!

    There were 6 who rode more than 100 a day!

    7 rode a double century and 100 riders rode at least a century!

    28 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 18 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    This leaderboard sees Nishant at the top! 6 riders averaged more than 100 km a day. The top remains unchanged.

    Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1130 km.

    In second place is Lee Thomas from Telangana who rode 1021 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Pranav Reddy from Telangana. He rode 916 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game!

    Mohan Rathore from Rajasthan was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 375 km. She was first last week as well. She is 37th overall.

    Next up is Roopali Beri from Punjab. Who rode an impressive 360 km. She is 42nd overall.

    Third is Pradnya Ajagar from Maharashtra who rode 346 km. She is 47th overall.

    There are 8 women in the top 100 this week, 5 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week!

    Top spot goes to Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 302 km long ride!

    Next up is DNA from Delhi having done a 266 km long ride.

    Third is Deerendra CR from Karnataka, who did a 222 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 28 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 37.7 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Shailender Ahlawat from Delhi whose weekly average is a fantastic 35.4 kmph.

    Third is Pranjal Singh from Uttar Pradesh averaging 33.5 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Riders from Himachal went all out and locked out the top 3 spots!

    Climber of the week is Sandeep Thapa from Himachal Pradesh having climbed 8836 metres. His first time as the KOM.

    Second is Yugal Thakur from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 7498 metres.

    Third is Parvick Kukreja from Himachal Pradesh, who climbed 7047 metres during the week.
