    Week 58 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 11th July 2021.

    Club Stats. 1151 members collectively rode 91956 km in 2386 rides, climbing 516241 metres in 4341 hours!

    The number of members are up by 21 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more or less the same. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all near unchanged.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 267 km during the week!

    There were 7 who rode more than 100 a day!

    21 rode a double century and 100 riders rode at least a century!

    27 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 12 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    This leaderboard sees Nishant at the top! 7 riders averaged more than 100 km a day. The top remains unchanged. Riders two and three switched positions.

    Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1539 km. He was top last week as well.

    In second place is Pranav Reddy from Telangana who rode 1085 km in the week. He was third last week.

    Third spot is taken by Lee Thomas from Telangana. He rode 1084 km. He was second last week.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game!

    Mohan Rathore from Rajasthan was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 365 km. She was first last week as well. She is 51st overall.

    Next up is Ishika Gupta from Delhi. Who rode an impressive 353 km. She is 52nd overall.

    Third is Simy Thomas from Kerala who rode 342 km. She is 58th overall.

    There are 5 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week! Brevet season is back…

    Top spot goes to Sachin Nemade from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 423 km long ride!

    Next up is Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra having done a 402 km long ride.

    Third is Murali Iyer from Karnataka, who did a 271 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 27 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Divyam Patel from Canada who averaged an incredible 39.3 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Mayank Tripathi from Canada whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.8 kmph. He was fastest last week.

    Third is Prince Patel from USA averaging 35.5 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: King/ Queen of the Mountain

    Riders from Maharashtra went all out and locked out the top 3 spots!

    Climber of the week is Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra having climbed 6611 metres.

    Second is Nishant Gupta from Maharashtra who climbed 5332 metres.

    Third is Tejas Dhande from Maharashtra, who climbed 5230 metres during the week.
