Week 62 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 8th August 2021.
Club Stats. 1248 members collectively rode 88467 km in 2547 rides, climbing 498314 metres in 4294 hours!
The number of members are up by 22 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all hitting an all time high.
To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 247 km during the week!
There were 2 who rode more than 100 a day!
2 rode a triple century, 20 rode at least a double century and 100 riders rode at least a century!
28 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 9 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…
Leaderboard: Overall
2 riders averaged more than 100 km a day. With the same man at the top!
FB Vaibhav from Delhi was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1367 km. He was first last week.
In second place is Cyclographer JK from Tamil Nadu who rode 715 km in the week.
Third spot is taken by Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab. He rode 640 km. He is back at the front after long.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game! To be in the top 10, you needed to ride at least 238 km…
Meghna Ghatge from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 417 km. She is 20th overall. She was third last week.
Next up is Mohan Kunwar Rathore from Rajasthan. Who rode an impressive 342 km. She is 34th overall. She was first last week.
Third is Angana G Barua from Telangana who rode 341 km. She is 35th overall.
There are 5 women in the top 100 this week, one more than last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week! Brevet season is back…
Top spot goes to Avinash Singh Sadana from Gujarat for the longest ride. He did a 486 km long ride!
Next up is Kunj Lalkiya from Gujarat having done a 310 km long ride.
Third is Rutvik Lashkari from Gujarat, who did a 298 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 28 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 36.4 kmph over the week! He was fastest last three weeks.
Second fastest for the week is Tejas Dhande from Maharashtra whose weekly average is a fantastic 35.6 kmph.
Third is Sanjeev Ramki from Tamil Nadu averaging 34.7 kmph over the week.
Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain
Uttarakhand took top honours this week, as the KOM returned to the Himalayas!
Climber of the week is Sonam Rana from Uttarakhand having climbed 6151 metres.
Second is FB Vaibhav from Delhi who climbed 5875 metres.
Third is Sandeep Thapa from Himachal Pradesh, who climbed 5498 metres during the week.
