    Week 64 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 22nd August 2021.

    Club Stats. 1297 members collectively rode 74039 km in 2188 rides, climbing 424789 metres in 3595 hours!

    The number of members are up by 26 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride kess. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 221 km during the week!

    There was 1 who rode more than 100 a day!

    14 rode at least a triple century, 18 rode at least a double century and 89 riders rode at least a century!

    29 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 4 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    1 rider averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 762 km.

    In second place is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who rode 606 km in the week. He was second last week as well.

    Third spot is taken by Sivaraman R from Tamil Nadu. He rode 581 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game! To be in the top 10, you needed to ride at least 170 km…

    Vidhya Hari from Karnataka was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 352 km. She is 26th overall.

    Next up is Ishika Gupta from Delhi. Who rode an impressive 351.7 km. She is 27th overall and just 300 metres short of first place.

    Third is Angana Guha from Telangana who rode 309 km. She is 47th overall.

    There are 8 women in the top 100 this week, one more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week! Brevet season is back… Karnataka almost whitewashed this leaderboard!

    Top spot goes to Sivaraman R from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 581 km long ride!

    Next up is Naveen Jadhav from Karnataka having done a 328 km long ride.

    Third is KP on MTB from Karnataka, who did a 327 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 29 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Vibhav Shinde from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 33.3 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Mayank Tripathi from Canada whose weekly average is a fantastic 33.1 kmph. He was third last week.

    Third is Prince Patel from USA averaging 33 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    Himachal Pradesh took top honours this week, as the KOM was wrested from Uttarakhand!

    Climber of the week is Cyrus Mohan from Himachal Pradesh having climbed 11581 metres.

    Second is Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra who climbed 5829 metres.

    Third is Anish Aniish from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 4077 metres during the week.
