    Week 66 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 5th September 2021.

    Club Stats. 1331 members collectively rode 83482 km in 2297 rides, climbing 474491 metres in 4037 hours!

    The number of members are up by 18 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all marginally down.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 239km during the week!

    There were 3 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    2rode a 600, 8 rode a 400 and 21 rode at least a double century and 100 riders rode at least a century!

    28 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 10 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    3 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 804 km.

    In second place is Rohit Samal from West Bengal who rode 765 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 729 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game! To be in the top 10, you needed to ride at least 200+ km…

    Megha Jain from Punjab was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 620 km. She is 7th overall. She was second last week.

    Next up is Vanita Sharma from Punjab. Who rode an impressive 595 km. She is 10th overall.

    Third is Manju Varkey from Karnataka who rode 532 km. She is 15th overall.

    There are 5 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week! Brevet season is back… The ladies from Punjab cleaned up the top here!

    Top spot goes to Megha Jain from Punjab for the longest ride. She did a 600 km long ride!

    Next up is Vanita Sharma from Punjab having done a 595 km long ride.

    Third is KP on MTB from Karnataka, who did a 444 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 28 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Prince Patel from USA who averaged an incredible 36.3 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Vishaish Tomar from Delhi whose weekly average is a fantastic 34.8 kmph.

    Third is Aditya Srikar from Tamil Nadu averaging 33.9 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    Himachal Pradesh took top honours this week, again!

    Climber of the week is Sandeep Thapa from Himachal Pradesh having climbed 9990 metres.

    Second is Cyrus Mohan from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 8877 metres. He was KOM last week.

    Third is Rahul S Nadig from Karnataka, who climbed 7358 metres during the week.
