Week 71 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 10th October 2021.
Club Stats. 1430 members collectively rode 80291 km in 2365 rides, climbing 427301 metres in 3788 hours!
The number of members are up by 17 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained and time spent on the saddle were all down.
To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 240 km during the week!
There were 4 who averaged more than 100 km a day!
5 rode 600s, 16 rode a 200 and 86 rode at least a century!
44 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 15 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…
Leaderboard: Overall
4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.
Mrudul K from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1303 km.
In second place is Yaseen Shareef from Kerala who rode 828 km in the week.
Third spot is taken by FB Vaibhav from Delhi. He rode 784 km. He was third last week as well.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard has gotten more competitive. The ladies have upped their game! To be in the top 10, you needed to ride at least 170+ km…
Ishika Gupta from Delhi was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 380 km. She is 32nd overall.
Next up is Shivangi Tiwari from Delhi. Who rode an impressive 338 km. She is 43rd overall.
Third is Damanpreet Kaur Romana from Punjab who rode 240 km. She is 100th overall.
There are 3 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
The monsoon and opening up of lockdowns ensured that long rides once again kicked started this week! Brevet season is back…
Top spot goes to Yaseen Shareef from Kerala for the longest ride. He did a 605 km long ride!
Next up is Sujith K from Kerala having done a 602.3 km long ride.
Third is Yedhukrisna from Kerala, who did a 602 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 44 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Synclair D’Souza from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 40.6 kmph over the week!
Second fastest for the week is Hemings from Karnataka whose weekly average is a fantastic 38.2 kmph.
Third is Mayank Tripathi from Canada averaging 37.3 kmph over the week. He was fastest last week.
Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain
Himachal Pradesh was once again top of the pile this week!
Climber of the week is Sandeep Thapa from Himachal Pradesh having climbed 8720 metres. He was KOM last week as well!
Second is Mrudul K from Kerala who climbed 7637 metres.
Third is Divija Sood from Himachal Pradesh, who climbed 7045 metres during the week.
