Week 83 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 2nd January 2022.
Club Stats. 1638 members collectively rode 97957 km in 2600 rides, climbing 498677 metres in 4697 hours!
The number of members are up by 30 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more or less the same. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all constant.
To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 267 km during the week!
There were 3 who averaged more than 100 km a day!
1 rode a 400, 9 rode at least a 200.
40 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 10 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…
Leaderboard: Overall
3 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.
Mrudul K from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1265 km. He was second last week.
In second place is Sachin Bandgar from Maharashtra who rode 1008 km in the week.
Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 869 km.

The women’s leaderboard has gotten even more competitive. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 203+ km…
Naazia Farhein from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 595 km. She is 12th overall. She was second last week.
Next up is Gareema Shankar from Delhi. Who rode an impressive 500 km. She is 18th overall.
Third is Vidhya Hari from Karnataka who rode 404 km. She is 30th overall.
There are 5 women in the top 100 this week, 3 more than last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
Long rides are not so long this week! Thanks to New Year celebrations…
Top spot goes to Sachin Nemade from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 426 km long ride!
Next up is Santosh Dhumal from Maharashtra having done a 253 km long ride.
Third is Moideenkutty VC from Kerala, who did a 247 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 40 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Sanjeev Ramki from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 35.7 kmph over the week! He was third last week.
Second fastest for the week is Vivek Chaddha from Delhi whose weekly average is a fantastic 35.2 kmph.
Third is Shan Aru from Tamil Nadu averaging 35 kmph over the week.

The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats of Kerala!
Climber of the week is Mrudul K from Kerala having climbed 6347 metres.
Second is DNA from Delhi who climbed 5572 metres.
