    Week 84 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 9th January 2022.

    Club Stats. 1664 members collectively rode 93761 km in 2678 rides, climbing 462760 metres in 4431 hours!

    The number of members are up by 26 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more or less the same. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all constant.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 254 km during the week!

    There were 9 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    8 rode 600s, 18 rode at least a 200.

    40 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 10 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    3 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Sachin Nemade from Maharashtra was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1105 km.

    In second place is Chaitu Chow from Telangana who rode 892 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Ravi Mirani from Gujarat. He rode 855 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten even more competitive. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 239+ km…

    Rajikrishan Nair from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 578 km. She is 13th overall.

    Next up is Naazia Farhein from Tamil Nadu. Who rode an impressive 495 km. She is 17th overall.

    Third is Gini Desai from Gujarat who rode 481 km. She is 18th overall.

    There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 2 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Some solid 600 km brevets from around the country…

    Top spot goes to Sachin Nemade from Maharashtra for the longest ride. He did a 626 km long ride!

    Next up is Pratap Rawat from Assam having done a 616 km long ride.

    Third is Ripunjay Gogoi from Assam, who did a 609 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 40 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Aravindh Panneerchelvam from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 38.8 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Mukesh Ayyappan from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.9 kmph.

    Third is Michael Joseph from Tamil Nadu averaging 36.5 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Nilgiris!

    Climber of the week is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu having climbed 6553 metres.

    Second is Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu who climbed 6372 metres.

    Third is Kapil Sharma from Uttarakhand, who climbed 6370 metres during the week.
