    Week 87 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 30th January 2022.

    Club Stats. 1739 members collectively rode 94972 km in 2454 rides, climbing 448867 metres in 4433 hours!

    The number of members are up by 27 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more or less the same. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all constant.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 320 km during the week!

    There were 7 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    2 rode 1000s, 32 rode at least a 200.

    43 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 11 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    7 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    DNA from Delhi was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1285 km.

    In second place is Ravi Mirani from Gujarat who rode 1024 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 1013 km. He was second last week.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten even more competitive. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 258+ km…

    Rajikrishna Nair from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 772 km. She is 5th overall.

    Next up is Vidhya Hari from Karnataka. Who rode an impressive 411 km. She is 48th overall.

    Third is Naazia Farhein from Tamil Nadu who rode 407 km. She is 50th overall.

    There are 12 women in the top 100 this week, 9 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Some solid 1000 km brevets from Gujarat…

    Top spot goes to Ravi Mirani from Gujarat for the longest ride. He did a 1013 km long ride!

    Next up is Avinash Singh Sadana from Gujarat having done a 1007 km long ride.

    Third is DNA from Delhi, who did a 353 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 42 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 39.5 kmph over the week! He was top last two weeks.

    Second fastest for the week is Hemings from Karnataka whose weekly average is a fantastic 38 kmph.

    Third is Joel Sundaram from Karnataka averaging 35.5 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Nandi Hills!

    Climber of the week is SKD from Karnataka having climbed 7142 metres.

    Second is Utkarsh Verma from Uttar Pradesh who climbed 6483 metres.

    Third is Agnivesh Patel from Karnataka, who climbed 6400 metres during the week.
