    Week 88 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 6th February 2022.

    Club Stats. 1769 members collectively rode 115522 km in 3071 rides, climbing 571079 metres in 5364 hours!

    The number of members are up by 30 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 301 km during the week!

    There were 6 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    3 rode 600s, 39 rode at least a 200.

    57 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 9 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    6 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Dhananjai from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 821 km.

    In second place is Subu Narayanan from Tamil Nadu who rode 812 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Satish Sunkara from Andhra Pradesh. He rode 789 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten even more competitive. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 253+ km…

    Rajikrishna Nair from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 537 km. She is 22nd overall.

    Next up is Urmi Das from West Bengal. Who rode an impressive 421 km. She is 49th overall.

    Third is Meghana Ghatge from Maharashtra who rode 379 km. She is 64th overall.

    There are 16 women in the top 100 this week, 4 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Brevets are happening around the country.

    Top spot goes to Pro Prathamm from Uttar Pradesh for the longest ride. He did a 620 km long ride!

    Next up is Vivek Chawdhary having done a 611 km long ride.

    Third is GK Fat Rider from Andhra Pradesh, who did a 606 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 57 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 40.3 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Hemings from Karnataka whose weekly average is a fantastic 37.3 kmph.

    Third is Mayank Tripathi from Canada averaging 36.9 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Nilgiris!

    Climber of the week is Joel Sundaram from Tamil Nadu having climbed 6548 metres.

    Second is Renju from Kerala who climbed 5117 metres.

    Third is Jaya Prakash from Karnataka, who climbed 5052 metres during the week.
