Week 93 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 13th March 2022.
Club Stats. 1854 members collectively rode 110603 km in 3122 rides, climbing 549114 metres in 5177 hours!
The number of members are up by 14 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.
To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 266 km during the week!
There were 4 who averaged more than 100 km a day!
1 rode a 600, 12 rode 300s, 22 rode at least a 200.
56 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 12 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…
Leaderboard: Overall
4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.
Jein Varghese from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1111 km.
In second place is Shiva Swaroop from Telangana who rode 910 km in the week.
Third spot is taken by Mrudul K from Kerala. He rode 760 km.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard has gotten even more competitive. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 202+ km…
Lorraine D’Costa from Kerala was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 344 km. She is 53rd overall.
Next up is Naazia Farhein from Tamil Nadu. Who rode an impressive 316 km. She was second last week and is 62nd overall.
Third is Damanpreet Kaur Romana from Punjab who rode 312 km. She was first last week and is 65th overall.
There are 13 women in the top 100 this week, 4 less than last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
Brevets are happening around the country.
Top spot goes to Hasan Parviz from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 605 km long ride!
Next up is Pro Prathamm from Uttar Pradesh having done a 404 km long ride.
Third is Shiva Swaroop from Telangana, who did a 360 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 55 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 41.5 kmph over the week! He was fastest last week as well.
Second fastest for the week is Rayhan Dastur from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 41.1 kmph.
Third is Vivek Chaddha from Delhi averaging 37.3 kmph over the week.
Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain
The climbing leaderboard went to Maharashtra!
Climber of the week is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra having climbed 7844 metres. He was KOM last week as well.
Second is RJ Mesak from Mizoram who climbed 7146 metres.
Third is Subu Narayanan from Tamil Nadu, who climbed 5885 metres during the week.
