    Week 96 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 3rd April 2022.

    Club Stats. 1901 members collectively rode 101449 km in 2948 rides, climbing 541983 metres in 4625 hours!

    The number of members are up by 20 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more or less the same. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all constant.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 240 km during the week!

    There were 5 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    1 rode a 600, 1 rode a 300, 15 rode at least a 200.

    54 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 9 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    5 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Jein Varghese from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 982 km.

    In second place is Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab who rode 918 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 845 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten less competitive this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 149+ km…

    Ishika Gupta from Delhi was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 381 km. She is 29th overall. She was second last week.

    Next up is Simy Thomas from Kerala. Who rode an impressive 298 km. She is 61st overall.

    Third is Su Yin Ong from Tamil Nadu who rode 289 km. She is 66th overall.

    There are 9 women in the top 100 this week, 2 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Not a lot of big rides this week around the country.

    Top spot goes to Balraj Singh Chauhan from Punjab for the longest ride. He did a 600 km long ride!

    Next up is Agnivesh Patel from Uttar Pradesh having done a 322 km long ride.

    Third is Vaseem from Tamil Nadu, who did a 285 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 54 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace. The top three remained unchanged.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 40.8 kmph over the week! He was fastest last week as well.

    Second fastest for the week is Ashwin Govindasamy from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 38.1 kmph. He was second last week.

    Third is Midhun George from Canada averaging 36.9 kmph over the week. He was third last week as well.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Maharashtra, and two riders from Mizoram for the first time!

    Climber of the week is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra having climbed 9763 metres.

    Second is Jein Varghese from Kerala who climbed 7013 metres.

    Third is RJ Mesak from Mizoram, who climbed 6219 metres during the week.
