    Week 135 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 1st January 2023.

    Club Stats. 2619 members collectively rode 132494 km in 3132 rides, climbing 735554 metres in 6188 hours!

    The number of members are up by 11 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 319 km during the week!

    There were 11 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    1 rode a 500, and 43 rode at least a 200.

    53 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 29 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    11 riders averaged more than 100 km a day. 5 rode more than 1000 km this week.

    Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1533 km. He was third last week.

    In second place is Mrudul K from Kerala who rode 1323 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Gopikrishnan Kesavan from Tamil Nadu. He rode 1247 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 205+ km…

    Malika Kalra from Chandigarh was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 803 km. She is 8th overall. She was second last week.

    Next up is Devmitra P from Kerala. Who rode an impressive 414 km. She is 56tth overall.

    Third is Vaishali Pawar from Maharashtra who rode 376 km. She is 68th overall.

    There are 9 women in the top 100 this week, 2 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A bunch of short rides coming in from different parts of the country this week.

    Top spot goes to Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 502 km long ride!

    Next up is Kiran Sangapura from Karnataka having done a 472 km long ride.

    Third is Jignesh Agrawal from Gujarat, who did a 415 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 53 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 38.3 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Mayank Tripathi from Canada whose weekly average is a fantastic 37 kmph.

    Third is Vivek Chadha from Delhi averaging 35.6 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Kerala.

    Climber of the week is Naveen Joseph from Kerala having climbed 10698 metres.

    Second is Mrudul K from Kerala who climbed 7901 metres. He was third last week.

    Third is Arnav from Himachal Pradesh, who climbed 6805 metres during the week.
