    Week 136 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 8th January 2023.

    Club Stats. 2651 members collectively rode 137600 km in 3466 rides, climbing 747825 metres in 6407 hours!

    The number of members are up by 32 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 326 km during the week!

    There were 13 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    2 rode 1000s, 4 rode 600s, and 76 rode at least a 200.

    56 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 26 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    13 riders averaged more than 100 km a day. 2 rode more than 1000 km this week.

    GK Rider from Andhra Pradesh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1266 km.

    In second place is Miear Yadav from Delhi who rode 1045 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Mrudul K from Kerala. He rode 924 km. He was second last week.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 284+ km…

    Malika Kalra from Chandigarh was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 708 km. She is 13th overall. She was first last week as well.

    Next up is Uttara Ramkumar from Telangana. Who rode an impressive 687 km. She is 14th overall.

    Third is Vandana Dhavate from Telangana who rode 643 km. She is 23rd overall.

    There are 14 women in the top 100 this week, 5 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A bunch of long rides coming in from different parts of the country this week.

    Top spot goes to Miear Yadav from Delhi for the longest ride. He did a 1045 km long ride!

    Next up is GK Rider from Andhra Pradesh having done a 1002 km long ride.

    Third is Praveen Kumar Goel from Telangana, who did a 603 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 56 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Rayhan Dastur from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 41.3 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Raj Kumar from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 38 kmph.

    Third is Joel Sundaram from Karnataka averaging 36.5 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Tamil Nadu.

    Climber of the week is Vaseem from Tamil Nadu having climbed 8611 metres.

    Second is Aryan from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 7077 metres.

    Third is Mrudul K from Kerala, who climbed 6457 metres during the week.
