    Week 138 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 22nd January 2023.

    Club Stats. 2680 members collectively rode 119951 km in 3199 rides, climbing 617512 metres in 5635 hours!

    The number of members are up by 17 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 300 km during the week!

    There were 8 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    3 rode 1200s,  and 52 rode at least a 200.

    53 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 17 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    8 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Shreyas S from Tamil Nadu was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1234 km.

    In second place is Ganesh R from Karnataka who rode 1206 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Naveen Joseph from Karnataka. He rode 1186 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 199+ km…

    Malika Kalra from Chandigarh was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 350 km. She is 72nd overall. She was first last three weeks.

    Next up is Rekha S from Telangana. Who rode an impressive 305 km. She is 96th overall.

    Third is Swati Sablok from Maharashtra who rode 270 km.

    There are 7 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A bunch of long rides coming in from different parts of the country this week.

    Top spot goes to Shreyas S from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 1200 km long ride!

    Next up is Ganesh R from Karnataka having done a 1190 km long ride.

    Third is Naveen Joseph from Karnataka, who did a 1186 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 53 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mukesh Ayyappan from Tamil Nadu who averaged an incredible 37.1 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Anirudh Chadha from New Delhi whose weekly average is a fantastic 36 kmph.

    Third is Mayank Tripathi from Canada averaging 34.9 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Tamil Nadu.

    Climber of the week is Shreyas S from Tamil Nadu having climbed 14018 metres.

    Second is Naveen Joseph from Karnataka who climbed 13822 metres.

    Third is Ganesh R from Karnataka, who climbed 13780 metres during the week.
