    Week 140 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 5th February 2023.

    Club Stats. 2703 members collectively rode 108142 km in 3018 rides, climbing 564400 metres in 5019 hours!

    The number of members are up by 9 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 257 km during the week!

    There was 1 who averaged more than 100 km a day!

    8 rode 400s and 27 rode at least a 200.

    56 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 9 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    1 rider averaged more than 100 km a day.

    Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 933 km.

    In second place is Varun Kamath from Karnataka who rode 660 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Suresh Raju from Tamil Nadu. He rode 551 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 227+ km…

    Swati Sablok from Maharashtra was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 482 km. She is 12th overall.

    Next up is Malika Kalra from Chandigarh. Who rode an impressive 362 km. She is 39th overall.

    Third is Hema Dhakad from Madhya Pradesh who rode 316 km. She is 52nd overall.

    There are 12 women in the top 100 this week, 2 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A bunch of long rides coming in from different parts of the country this week.

    Top spot goes to Irshad from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 461 km long ride!

    Next up is Balachandar S from Tamil Nadu having done a 456 km long ride.

    Third is Ben Lawrence J from Tamil Nadu, who did a 450 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 56 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 40 kmph over the week! He was first last week as well.

    Second fastest for the week is Ansh Dhopte from Maharashtra whose weekly average is a fantastic 37.2 kmph. He was third last week.

    Third is Joel Sundaram from Karnataka averaging 35.4 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to Maharashtra!

    Climber of the week is Parvez Wadia from Maharashtra having climbed 6392 metres.

    Second is Emil Joseph from Tamil Nadu who climbed 5760 metres.

    Third is Raj from Himachal Pradesh, who climbed 5718 metres during the week.
