Week 141 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 12th February 2023.
Club Stats. 2716 members collectively rode 106970 km in 2987 rides, climbing 542885 metres in 4903 hours!
The number of members are up by 13 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.
To be in the top 100, you needed to ride minimum 260 km during the week!
For the first time in many weeks, nobody rode more than 700 km in the week…
4 rode 600s and 46 rode at least a 200.
61 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 7 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.
Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…
Leaderboard: Overall
1 rider almost averaged 100 km a day!
Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 694 km.
In second place is Jai Madhav from Maharashtra who rode 676 km in the week.
Third spot is taken by Smital Patel from Gujarat. She rode 661 km.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 216+ km…
Smital Patel from Gujarat was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 661 km. She is 3rd overall.
Next up is Prachi Bhatt from Gujarat. Who rode an impressive 631 km. She is 5th overall.
Third is Nithya R from Karnataka who rode 403 km. She is 35th overall.
There are 9 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
A bunch of long rides coming in from different parts of the country this week.
Top spot goes to Prachi Bhatt from Gujarat for the longest ride. She did a 631 km long ride!
Next up is Jai Madhav from Maharashtra having done a 617 km long ride.
Third is Smital Patel from Gujarat, who did a 607 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 61 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace. The top 2 remained unchanged!
Fastest of the lot is Mayank Tripathi from Canada who averaged an incredible 38.9 kmph over the week! He was first last two weeks as well.
Second fastest for the week is Ansh Dhopte from Maharashtra whose weekly average is a fantastic 36,5 kmph. He was second last week as well.
Third is Hemanshu Khanna from Haryana averaging 36.3 kmph over the week.

The climbing leaderboard went to the mountains of Rwanda!
Climber of the week is Jai Arumugam from UAE having climbed 12538 metres.
Second is Chaitanya Rajasekhar from Maharashtra who climbed 9295 metres.
Third is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra, who climbed 6444 metres during the week.
