    Week 148 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 2nd April 2023.

    Club Stats. 2810 members collectively rode 115322 km in 3496 rides, climbing 642280 metres in 5377 hours!

    The number of members are up by 15 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    2 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    1 rode a 400 and 17 rode at least a 200.

    74 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 9 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    2 riders averaged more than 100 km a day!

    Rupesh Bali  from Chandigarh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 963 km. He was first last two weeks as well.

    In second place is Arun Kumar Krishnan from Kerala who rode 707 km in the week.

    Third spot is taken by Shun Athi from Tamil Nadu. He rode 652 km.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 162+ km…

    Vandana Dhavate from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 292 km. She is 75th overall. She was top lady last week as well.

    Next up is Swati Sablok from Punjab. Who rode an impressive 263 km. She is 96th overall. She was third last week.

    Third is Damanpreet Kaur Romana from Punjab who rode 250 km.

    There are 11 women in the top 100 this week, 2 more than last week.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    A bunch of long rides coming in from different parts of the country this week.

    Top spot goes to Hari from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 401 km long ride!

    Next up is Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh having done a 311 km long ride.

    Third is Naveen Joseph from Karnataka, who did a 307 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 74 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Sumant Apte from Maharashtra who averaged an incredible 36.3 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Sanjeev Ramki from Tamil Nadu whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.2 kmph.

    Third is Kabir Rachure from Maharashtra averaging 35.7 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghat!

    Climber of the week is Sujith K from Kerala having climbed 9100 metres. He was first last two weeks as well.

    Second is Jasprit Paul from Himachal Pradesh who climbed 9098 metres.

    Third is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra, who climbed 7266 metres during the week.
