Week 152 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 30th April 2023.
Club Stats. 2856 members collectively rode 119079 km in 3343 rides, climbing 621743 metres in 5566 hours!
The number of members are up by 7 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride more. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all up.
9 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.
2 rode 1200s and 37 rode at least a 200.
56 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 18 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

Shain from Kerala was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 1272 km.
In second place is Tenny V from Kerala who rode 1259 km in the week.
Third spot is taken by Tameem Ansari from Tamil Nadu. He rode 1032 km.
Leaderboard: Women
The women’s leaderboard has gotten easier this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 179+ km…
There are 10 women in the top 100 this week, 3 less than last week.
Alo Chatterjee from West Bengal was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 425 km. She is 35th overall. She was first last two weeks as well!
Next up is Miruthula Gopu from Tamil Nadu. Who rode an impressive 400 km. She is 40th overall.
Third is Vaishali Pawar from Maharashtra who rode 369 km. She is 50th overall.
Leaderboard: Longest Ride
A bunch of long rides coming in from Kerala this week.
Top spot goes to Tenny V from Kerala for the longest ride. He did a 1209 km long ride!
Next up is Shain from Kerala having done a 1200 km long ride.
Third is Pradhap Antony from Tamil Nadu, who did a 520 km long ride.
Leaderboard: Fastest
The top 56 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.
Fastest of the lot is Tenzin Kunchok from Uttar Pradesh who averaged an incredible 38.7 kmph over the week! He was third last week.
Second fastest for the week is Tijan Wilson from Uttar Pradesh whose weekly average is a fantastic 38.3 kmph.
Third is Udhay Asokan from Tamil Nadu averaging 35.3 kmph over the week.
Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain
The climbing leaderboard went to hills of Mizoram! The top 3 remained unchanged, though the order got shuffled.
Climber of the week is RJ Mesak from Mizoram having climbed 8945 metres. He was first last week as well.
Second is John K Sunny from Kerala who climbed 8056 metres. He was third last week as well.
Third is Puia from Mizoram, who climbed 7653 metres during the week. He was second last week.
