    Week 155 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 21st May 2023.

    Club Stats. 2890 members collectively rode 119651 km in 3446 rides, climbing 659714 metres in 5509 hours!

    The number of members are up by 13 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride less. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all down.

    3 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    2 rode 500s and 14 rode at least a 200.

    78 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 15 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    3 riders averaged more than 100 km a day! The top 3 remained unchanged, though the order got shaken up.

    Gopaal Agaarwal from Uttar Pradesh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 836 km. He was second last week.

    In second place is Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh who rode 771 km in the week. He was first last week.

    Third spot is taken by MSK Sreenivasan from Tamil Nadu. He rode 755 km. He was third last week as well.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 213+ km…

    There are 14 women in the top 100 this week, 1 less than last week.

    Vandana Dhavate from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 366.3 km. She is 39th overall.

    Next up is Gareema Shankar from Delhi. Who rode an impressive 366.1 km. She is 40th overall.

    Third is Devmitra P from Kerala who rode 346 km. She is 52nd overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Summer’s here and nobody is doing looooong rides anymore!

    Top spot goes to Gopikrishnan Kesavan from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 574 km long ride!

    Next up is Gopinath Kattaian from Tamil Nadu having done a 563 km long ride.

    Third is Aditya Gupta from Delhi, who did a 300 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 78 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Ashley Moras from Gujarat who averaged an incredible 38.4 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Tijan Wilson from Uttar Pradesh whose weekly average is a fantastic 38.1 kmph.

    Third is Denil Lobo from Karnataka averaging 37.8 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Himalayas!

    Climber of the week is Jasprit Paul from Himachal Pradesh having climbed 7498 metres.

    Second is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra who climbed 6839 metres.

    Third is Anil Gurung from Uttarakhand, who climbed 5344 metres during the week.
