    Week 156 update of the Cycling Monks Strava Group. Week ending 28th May 2023.

     

    Club Stats. 2898 members collectively rode 119651 km in 3446 rides, climbing 659714 metres in 5509 hours!

    The number of members are up by 8 as compared to last week. The week saw everyone collectively ride the same. With total distance, elevation gained, number of rides and time spent on the saddle were all constant.

    4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day.

    8 rode 400s and 19 rode at least a 200.

    63 averaged above 30 kmph for the week. 12 climbed more than 4000 metres… Incredible riding by everyone.

    Kudos to all the riders who have been working hard on their saddles…

    Leaderboard: Overall

    4 riders averaged more than 100 km a day! The top 3 remained unchanged, though the order got shaken up.

    Gopaal Agaarwal from Uttar Pradesh was top of the charts. He rode an incredible 998 km. He was first last week as well.

    In second place is MSK Sreenivasan from Tamil Nadu who rode 806 km in the week. He was third last week.

    Third spot is taken by Rupesh Bali from Chandigarh. He rode 773 km. He was second last week.

    Leaderboard: Women

    The women’s leaderboard has gotten tougher this week. To be in the top 10, you needed to ride 204+ km…

    There are 10 women in the top 100 this week, 4 less than last week.

    Vandana Dhavate from Telangana was top of the charts this week. Riding an incredible 410 km. She is 46th overall. She was first last week as well.

    Next up is Gareema Shankar from Delhi. Who rode an impressive 386 km. She is 57th overall. She was second last week as well.

    Third is Sheetal Chhetri from West Bengal who rode 338 km. She is 72nd overall.

    Leaderboard: Longest Ride

    Summer’s here and the Tamil Nadu lads are back to doing looooong rides!

    Top spot goes to Hari Raju from Tamil Nadu for the longest ride. He did a 417 km long ride!

    Next up is Saravana Pandiyan from Tamil Nadu having done a 428 km long ride.

    Third is Jagadesh Badiga from Tamil Nadu, who did a 406 km long ride.

    Leaderboard: Fastest

    The top 63 have been riding at a seriously impressive pace.

    Fastest of the lot is Tenzin Kunchok from Uttar Pradesh who averaged an incredible 38.2 kmph over the week!

    Second fastest for the week is Vibhav Shinde from Maharashtra whose weekly average is a fantastic 36.5 kmph.

    Third is Tijan Wilson from Uttar Pradesh averaging 35.8 kmph over the week.

    Leaderboard: Queen/ King of the Mountain

    The climbing leaderboard went to the Western Ghats!

    Climber of the week is Vivek Deshmukh from Maharashtra having climbed 8203 metres. He was second last week.

    Second is Sagar Shirbhate from Maharashtra who climbed 6166 metres.

    Third is Ganesh R from Karnataka, who climbed 6161 metres during the week.
